High-Efficiency Trauma Recovery for Those on the Front Lines and Beyond.
Specialized EMDR & EMI Therapy for Active-Duty Military, Veterans, First Responder Personnel, and other individuals suffering with trauma across Florida.
About Me & Why You Should Chose My Practice For Your Therapy Needs.I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I have over 3,000 hours of therapy, many of which I utilized EMDR and or EMI. I have a Masters degree in Psychology and Sociology, and another Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling.I am passionate about helping our active duty military personnel, veterans, first responders, and other individuals who are silently suffering from traumatic events, PTSD, chronic anxiety, panic attacks, flashbacks, nightmares, and or depression from their trauma.CLIENT POPULATION:
Who I Serve: High-Stress Professionals & Survivors of Acute Trauma.
I specialize exclusively in working with adults (ages 18+) who navigate high-stakes environments or have survived sudden, life-altering events. My practice is built for those who carry the weight of what they have seen, done, or survived. My primary focus includes:First Responders & Frontline Professionals: Police Officers, Firefighters, EMTs, Paramedics, Doctors, and Nurses. You encounter crisis daily; I provide a safe and secure space where you can take off the armor and drop the burden of being the strong one.Active-Duty Military & Veterans:
Navigating the unique, high-stress realities of military life, combat exposure, moral injury, and the transition back to civilian spaces.Survivors of Acute Trauma:
Individuals facing the psychological aftermath of violent crimes, tragic or sudden losses, and horrific accidents (such as severe motor vehicle accidents).Trauma-Related Substance Use:
Individuals who have turned to drugs or alcohol to numb the pain, quiet the memories, or sleep at night. I look past the addiction to treat the underlying trauma driving it.What Therapy Looks Like With Me - The EMDR & EMI Experience.Traditional talk therapy asks you to recount your worst days over and over, which can leave you feeling flooded, exhausted, or even re-traumatized. My approach is different. Because I am trained in advanced neurobiological tools—EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and EMI or Eye Movement Integration—we work directly with how your brain stores stress. In Our Telehealth Sessions, Therapy Will Look Like This:
Building a Solid Foundation: Before we ever touch a painful memory, we will practice specific, actionable techniques to help your body feel grounded and safe right in your own home.Guided Processing:
Using structured, gentle eye movements, we will help your brain 'file away' old, traumatic memories so they stop actively-firing in your present life. The Result:
You won't forget your past, but the emotional sting, the body panic, and the triggers will lose their power over you. You will finally be able to live in the present moment, feeling happy and fulfilled again; Because you deserve it.
About Azimuth TherapyIn land navigation, an azimuth is the precise compass bearing used to chart a course through unfamiliar or hostile terrain. Surviving severe trauma, flashbacks, and operational stress can leave you feeling completely disoriented, detached, and lost inside your own mind.I chose the name Azimuth Therapy because that is exactly what my work is designed to do. Utilizing advanced eye-movement protocols (EMDR and EMI), we do not just endlessly talk about the past—we calculate a direct path forward. We systematically disarm the emotional hurdles left behind by your career or life events helping you navigate your way back to your true self, your family, and your peace of mind.Raised in a military family and having lived the life as a military wife prior to becoming a licensed therapist, I speak your language. I intimately understand the high-stakes culture of the front lines, the heavy toll of cumulative shift stress, and the fear that asking for help might impact your career. Your stories will not shock me here, and your survival instincts will be respected, not pathologized.
